I am not a masseuse. I am an Advanced Neuromuscular Massage Therapist.
With over 1300 hours of education, I strive to help elevate the field of massage therapy to be recognized as a medical intervention. The NIH lists massage therapy amongst other clinically promising non-pharmacological approaches to pain management.
As a neuromuscular therapist, I help my clients meet their goals by treating current symptoms and preventing future ones. I work with your brain’s connection between specific nerve pathways and muscles to restore healthy movement and function to chronically painful, restricted, or fatigued areas of the body. Through a combination of different modalities, including trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and assisted stretching, we lengthen and open deep muscular holding patterns and fascial tension.
I work with a wide variety of symptoms and conditions to help my clients achieve pain-free performance goals. Some of these conditions include: TMJ dysfunction, headaches and migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, SI joint dysfunction, achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and acute or chronic injury recovery.
I work with your care team (physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, dentists) to help coordinate your care for an optimal outcome.
Sessions include postural assessment, reassessment, and health education.
